11/9/07 Technological innovations win golden cups at Techmart Vietnam 2007VietNamNet Bridge - Seventy-two technological innovations received rewards at the Vietnam Equipment and Technology Fair (Techmart Vietnam) 2007 Golden Cup at an award presentation ceremony organised on September 9 in central Da Nang city.
As many as 166 entries participated in the selection for golden cup winners.
The winning innovations are said to have high quality as well as high capability of being transferred and applied reality which will produce greater efficiency to society. They are also the innovations that have won the most contracts and Memorandum of Understanding at the fair.
The winning innovations belong to six fields: mechanical engineering, automation, information technology, agro-fisheries, medicine-pharmaceuticals and chemicals-materials and the environmental technology.
On the occasion, the Ministry of Science and Technology presented certificates of commendation to 29 businesses and individuals, including 12 farmers and students, for their initiative products which were displayed at Techmart 2007.
Almost 400 local and foreign companies showcased more than 2,000 products at the annual Techmart Vietnam 2007, which drew more than 100,000 visitors. A total of 235 contracts, worth almost VND 700 billion (US $43.7 million), were signed at the event.
