At the closing ceremony yesterday morning, the Ministry of Science and Technology, which organised the fair, granted gold medals to 72 products. The awards went to goods in engineering, automation, information technology, agriculture and fisheries, healthcare, and environmental protection.
Nine technological transfer contracts, totalling about VND200 billion (US$12.5 million), were signed on the first day.
The fair began on Thursday in central Da Nang city and included around 400 domestic businesses and organisations showcasing the latest technology for industries, agriculture, fisheries and transportation among others. 70 foreign firms hailing mostly from South Korea, Japan, China, and Israel occupied some of the 420 booths comprising the fair.
